Local Teachers, Superintendents Honored Monday
The Region 12 Education Service Center honors local teachers and superintendents at an awards ceremony Monday afternoon.

WACO (October 12, 2009)-The Region 12 Education Service Center is set to honor local teachers and superintendents at an awards ceremony Monday at 5:30 p.m.
Among the honorees are Superintendent Dr. Rose Cameron, of Copperas Cove I.S.D., Evelyn Thompson, of Copperas Cove I.S.D., and Bruce “BJ” Williams, of Midway I.S.D.
Thompson, an educator for 28 years, was name Elementary Teacher of the Year.
Williams, an educator for 14 years, was named Secondary Teacher of the Year.
Cameron, who has 17 years of administrative experience, was one of five finalists named for the Texas Superintendent of the Year award.
"We are proudly recognizing these deserving educators for their hard work and dedication to teaching students," said Dr. Tom Norris, executive director of ESC Region 12. "The commitment they have to being good motivators and mentors is truly an inspiration."
ESC Region 12 will also recognize five outstanding administrators that have served as superintendents for the region.
The 2008-09 retirees include Phil Gerik, of Mount Calm I.S.D.; C.L. Hammond, of Mullin I.S.D.; Charles McGhee, of Morgan I.S.D.; Tony Price, of Fairfield I.S.D. and Robby Stuteville, of Priddy I.S.D.

He always shares his wit, wisdom, and humor with his students and everyone around him. All of his students are blessed to have Mr. Williams as their teacher.
