SpaceX needs to be shutdown, If we get enough people together and sign a petition maybe we can have some peace and quiet. For all the idiots out there that like spacex then maybe you can move with spacex and have all the fun you want. I hope this place gets shutdown before they get a big lawsuit.

I read you peoples comments and they both give me a grateful/proud feeling, and some of you are completely embarassing. This area was originally the Phillips Camp, started in 1941 to build bombs for WWII, and 'yes' they also tested the bombs!! Proud people moved in to cardboard shacks south-side of McGregor(they couldn't build houses fast enough to house enyone). 'Proud' People came from all over the United States to build bombs to support the men(boys) fighting the War. And now you younger people just want to whine/complain about a little noise. Be proud that Space X is doing what they're doing(some day your life/freedom 'may' depend on it)!!

James, Don't worry it's finished you can sleep at now without it waking you up. You are the kind of person alway whining about something. This was a very imporant test. Instead of watching it on TV when it goes to the int. spacestation you'd still cry you could hear it in Florida launching. This won't be the last test. It's just the last test for the first stage, first flight on the F9. So, there will be plenty more tests. For all the SpaceX lovers thank you for supporting us. On the F9 tests days you can actually go on Blubonnet Parkway up pretty close and watch. It's really neat shakes the ground and feels like you get punched in the chest. One again thanks for the support and we are ready to rattle James Trailer off the frame. GodSpeed with SpaceX!!

Just what we need, more space junk floating around overhead in orbit, once they actually launch their little homemade candle. The noise would not bother me much as long as they announce the even in advance and not do it in the middle of the night. But I can see where it would cause great panic to livestock and also send all of the neighborhood dogs into a barking frenzy. I respect James complaint. The noise if not contained would be a disturbance to ones right to peace on their own property.

I lived in McGrogor for 20 years, through Rocketdyne, Hercules, Naval Ordinance, training at North Ft. Hood every Summer and none of the noises ever bothered me. I now live north-west of Waco, and the tests still do not bother me! Thanks Space X for providing jobs and much needed money/contributions to the area!! Test some more rocket engines!! certainly do not bother me.

I heard it yesterday here in Gatesville, wasn't sure what it was till I saw this article. It was actually pretty neat to get to hear rockets being test fired. I'm so used to hearing what goes on at Ft Hood, so the few seconds this thing was going off didn't bother me at all. Grow up James, if you don't like the noise, MOVE.

James, Boo freakin Hoo.......Go speak with your congressmen and see just exactly what you can accomplish. Crybabies such as yourself are the ones that should relocate. My I suggest somewhere extremely remote where none of us have to listen/read your ignorant/immature posts? And by the way, I will gladly say the same directly to your face, crybaby.

Grow up James!!! This facility is much needed for the economy and growth of the area. I think you might possibly be able to withstand 60 seconds of noise for that!

Think about the economy it brings does that not matter to you either.. Space X supports alot of the community functions schools etc.... IS that of no concern to you either? James while I did not have to listen to the noise, I have Ft Hood to listen to. A little noise (or a lot) for a couple of minutes oncew a month. Big deal you must be one of those people that just want to complain. GO MOVE!! Like to under a rock!

@James: "to all of you who told me to grow up about the noise and vibration. too bad you couldn't tell me that to my face. but I know there are alot of people out there that run away from their actions." Ooh, a tough guy! Well then, maybe YOU can go to SpaceX personally and tell THEM in the face just as well, what's stopping you? Instead of whining here in a comment section. Their business development director even left her e-mail and phone number in the previous comments so people can contact her, but I suppose being a loudmouth is one thing, doing something about it is totally different. After all, what did you expect - buying a house next to a ROCKET TEST SITE? "I need to speak with a few congressmen about this facility and see what can be done." Good idea, let them know what a loud minority thinks.
