KILLEEN (October 18 2009)—Killeen police have identified a motorcyclist who was seriously injured in an accident late Friday night.

Earlier, police asked for the public’s help as investigators tried to confirm the man’s identity.

Police did not immediately release the victim’s name.

The man was riding in a group of four motorcycles at about 11:15 p.m. Friday that were eastbound on Veterans Memorial Boulevard when his blue 2000 Yamaha left the road, struck a speed limit sign and ejected him along the fence line in the 5400 block of East Veterans Memorial Boulevard, police said.

The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was flown by helicopter to Scott & White Hospital in Temple in critical condition.
