NAVARRO COUNTY (October 18, 2009)—Charles Clemens, 17, of Barry in Navarro County died early Sunday morning in a one-vehicle accident on FM 744 about a mile-and-a-half south of Dresden.

The Department of Public Safety said Clemens was eastbound at about 2 a.m. Sunday at what may have been a high rate of speed when he evidently over-corrected, sending his 2000 Ford Focus off the road.

The car struck a fence and a tree, the DPS said.

Clemens was wearing a seatbelt.

He was alone in the vehicle, the DPS said.

You would think that someone would keep their STUPID remarks to themselves when a young person has been killed in an accident. Shows their stupidity. My thoughts and prayers go out to this family and hope they either don't read any of the stupid remakrs or if they do just consider the source that the person making such an idiotic remark has no manners or consideration for others. I lost a loved one at the age of 17 and it is still hard to realize when this young person had their whole life in front of them. God bless this family.
