HOUSTON (October 20, 2009)--The U.S. Supreme Court is refusing to review an appeal from a Texas death row inmate convicted of killing a suburban Dallas police officer, clearing the way for a judge to set a new execution date.

Kenneth Mosley won a reprieve from the high court last month, just a day before he was to have received lethal injection for the shooting death of Garland Officer David Moore, 32, who was gunned down while responding to a 911 report of a bank robbery.

Moore's lawyers won the reprieve by arguing that issues in his case were similar to those in an Alabama death penalty case the court is reviewing.

Isn't anybody concerned about whether someone who has only been convicted of a crime, receives fairness in his appeal process? I would like to know all there is to know about any defenses this guy may have, before he is executed. Maybe a life sentence would be more appropriate.

CFan we get any further from justice....why are we even letting a COP KILLER have a day in court. Shoot him, hang him or inject him and get on with it!

It only costs $85.00 to lethal-inject, but $50,000 a year to keep them in Prison!! Lethal-inject and move on to the next one!!!
