(March 15, 2007)—The Department of Defense Thursday posted the full transcript of the military hearing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in which 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed confessed to plotting the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, planning as many as 30 others and beheading Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

In his confession to Pearl’s murder, which wasn’t released until Thursday, Mohammed is quoted as saying: "I decapitated with my blessed right hand the head of the American Jew, Daniel Pearl."
In the transcript, Mohammed adds that pictures had been posted on the Internet of him holding Pearl's head.
A Pentagon spokesman says that section was held back when the transcript was initially released to allow time for Pearl's family to be notified.
Pearl was abducted in Pakistan in January 2002 while researching a story on Islamic militancy.
The transcript is from a closed hearing held Saturday and quotes Mohammed as saying he was responsible "from A to Z" for 9/11 and a string of other attacks, including some that were planned, but never happened.
He said a second wave of attacks was planned after 9/11 targeting the Library Tower in Los Angeles, the Sears Tower in Chicago, the Plaza Bank in Seattle and the Empire State Building in New York City.
