Last year alone over 36,000 people died of influenza type A. H1N1 is not the end of the world. Many people wait till it is too late to seek treatment, especially uneducated people with sick children. This man was probably a stressed out work-a-holic. I agree that the hype for this flu is blown way out of proportion. How many people get diagnosed and instead of staying at home and taking care they hang out at the doctors office looking for more drugs and spreading the illness? Many. I see it everyday!!

The CDC has not been truthful. Look at the following information, provided by a CBS investigative reporter (who was probably fired for not feeding into the H1N1 hysteria): http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/10/24/CBS-Reveals-that-Swine-Flu-Cases-Seriously-Overestimated.aspx

I'm sorry... are we reading the same story? Isn't this about the death of fellow human being? Take your political debate and your prejudices elsewhere and wish this greiving family comfort in this sad time!

For Gary and Ratso...Not ALL H1N1 deaths have underlying health problems. There have been several previously health children who have died as a direct result of H1N1 flu. Yes, they probably developed bacterial infections and that contributed to their death, however, this was AFTER contracting H1N1. Please get your facts straight.

I agree with you both. And the Attorney probably died from some kind of S.T.D. It's happened before elsewhere!!

Gary, that's just not true. I do read CDC reports frequently, and I have to do research about the flu for my job. Healthy people, especially young people, are being killed by it. Many of the victims do have underlying conditions, but many don't. And even in those with "secondary infections," many of the conditions are things caused by common bacteria, etc. For instance, you carry staph in your nose or strep in your throat, the flu gets your immunity down, and the bacteria proliferates and causes a deadly infection. I'm NOT saying everyone, or even most people, who develop these complications will die from the flu, but it's just not true to say everyone who is dying has underlying conditions - they don't.

I agree Gary, this is just another plot to draw Americans away from our real problems while our elected officials can stoop to new levels... Heck, the last election proves the stupidity of plenty of Americans... they'll believe anything.

I'll bet a trip to Mars that he had other serious complications! Read ALL the reports. People who don't already have complications are NOT being killed by any flu virus.
