Never mind folks. They are going to hire her anyway. Head scarf and all. Another example of giving in to the demands of a minority. I'll bet her ancestors were slaves or something! SHEEP! SHEEP!

Slow down there Shocked. Are you serious? We are prohibited from wearing signs of our religion in the work place....why should she be different. The young man who got fired from Home Depot for a badge that said in God We Trust. Or the officer who was fired for the cross tie tack. There are many other examples. She should have to adhere to the same rules we do.

Does her Muslim religion prohibit her from treating certain patients? Does it limit her medical decisions about patients?

It's amazing how people can be so ignorant. She isn't wearing the head scarf as a sign of her culture but of her religion. America was based on freedom of religion. What has happened to America when someone can't practice their religion without being subjected to bigotry? I'm shocked and saddened by the total lack of intelligence by my countrymen. Good job at making America and more specifically Texas look like a bunch of backwards rednecks!

I agree with not being able to wear the head scarf, not so much as religion or anything like that but for work policy. 99.9% of work policies are no head wear.. unless of course its part of a uniform. So there should be no exceptions, if she can wear her head wear, then others there should be able to wear a ball cap. beenie, cowboy hat so on and so forth. IF she don't like it, then go apply elsewhere. How many want to bet a lawsuit will be in the news not to long from now about this??

This is as simple as I can say it(As I have heard 'all' my life)! "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". If any/all of the foreign people from 'anywhere' want to enjoy 'our'(yours and mine) Freedoms 'here' in the United States, then you 'have' to act like 'us'!! PERIOD!!!

Yeah, I think it's time we changed that inscription on the Statue of Liberty to read: "NOTICE TO THE WORLD" For "...your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore..." Keep them at home. We don't want them here.

Good for the clinic! I am sick of having other people's "culture" rammed down my throat! If you want to live in America then act like an American!

I'm always amazed at the level of stupidity and lack of tolerance you people that post comments have. I bet if the clinic told her that she couldn't wear jewelry with a cross that you would be marching on the streets. I'm not a religious person, but I have tolerance for others.

Rules are rules. It seems that some people who come to our country have a very hard time understanding that. Good for the clinic! They should be able to hire whom they want. She can look for another job to wear her hat to or she can go back to where ever they wear those things.... Wearing the headscarf is a sign of supressing womanhood. No where in the Koran is a woman required to wear one. It is a political tool that is being used against the United States and other free countries.
