WACO (November 4, 2009)—Two men were indicted for murder Wednesday in a deadly drive-by shooting in September that left Carnelyuis Fields, 20, of Waco dead and Jamie Toney, 19, of Waco and a LaToya Hamilton, 24, also of Waco, injured.

The McLennan County Grand Jury handed up indictments charging murder against Joe Angel Felan and Quinton Deondrae Henry.

Fields was shot several times in the upper body just after 1 p.m. Sept. 12 as he stood in the 1500 block of N.9th St.

He later died in a Waco hospital.

Both Toney and Hamilton were treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and were later released.

Toney told investigators he was walking with Fields at the time of the shooting and was shot in the leg.

Hamilton was an innocent bystander and was grazed across her shoulder.

Witnesses told officers a green suburban driven by a black male with two Hispanic male passengers also inside, pulled up and one of the Hispanic males fired several shots at Fields

The third man has not yet been identified.

Felan, 22, surrendered to authorities on Sept. 21.

Henry, 25, surrendered to police in Carrollton the week before.
