LACY LAKEVIEW (November 05, 2009)-Police were still looking Friday for a man who was the focus of a two-day multi-agency manhunt.

TSTC Police Chief Bob Williams said Friday morning that Billy MacFarland was still on the run.

MacFarland is "not known to be a threat at this time," Williams said, but there are no new leads.

MacFarland was considered armed and dangerous by police on Thursday.

Lacy Lakeview police and other agencies at Noon Thursday were conducting an extensive manhunt that began as a police chase Wednesday night.

Police named MacFarland as the man sought in the multi-agency manhunt that was underway Thursday afternoon.

The search resumed Thursday morning after someone spotted a suspicious man near a Connally ISD school, Williams told News 10

The man fit the description of the suspect wanted in a police-chase-turned-manhunt Wednesday night.

Police were asking residents in the neighbor to stay in their houses because an armed subject was on the loose, News 10 learned from a viewer tip.

The chase started Wednesday night in Robinson then became a manhunt Thursday morning, Williams said, when the suspect jumped out of his vehicle near Texas State Technical College.

Department of Public Safety, Lacy Lakeview, Waco and TSTC police cordoned off the area and established a perimeter around Craven and Lakeview Drive in Lacy Lakeview Thursday afternoon.

A Waco SWAT team was on the ground and the McLennan County Sheriff's Office helicopter was searching from above Thursday.

Police believed MacFarland was hiding in a wooded area; canine units were on the scene assisting with the Thursday’s search.

MacFarland is described by police as a white male with blonde hair, blue eyes and tattoos around the neck.

Police said Thursday that MacFarland has a prior record.
