Autopsy On Body Found In Burned Out House Shows Gunshot Caused Death
Preliminary autopsy results released Friday show that the person whose badly burned body was recovered from the rubble of a Waco-area home after a fiery explosion Wednesday night was shot to death, but the results don’t confirm that the remains are those of a veteran Waco firefighter.

I'm on the Downsville VFD and I would like to say my prayer and thoughts go out to the family. I in my room when i heard the explosion then ran outside. After a few seconds the radios went off. We rushed to the station to get the trucks. Yes it was didpatch to be on radel road but we went straight to the fire. We didnt pass it up. We have to give thanks to all who came to assist. Downsville doesnt have the trucks that robinson has, so we did call for them to assist. Our truck are grass trucks with small tanks, we did what we could do, within 5-10 min we were out of water on both trucks and sent one to be filled then came down airport rd. thankfully robinson showed up at that time. For the ones that wanna bad mouth VF Departments I didnt see you there trying to help. We put our lives on the line just like PAID firefighters. We some support from the community but how can the support of a few compare to whatthe bigger departments get. And my thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Now is the time for all prayer warriors pray for mercy and realize "There by the grace of God go I." A family is hurting in on of the worst possible ways and i am sure in need of prayer. No one wins in situations like this. we have all sinned and fell short of God's expectations, but He is still in control. Please, let's unite in prayer.

Yea Stacy, Shouldnt his wife of girlfriend Mrs Stevens be saying this, U act as if u were his beneficiary or something. Leave family matters to family maam. What do or did you have to do with any of this anyway??? Sounds fishy to me.

Hey to this family.... remember the love. in life there are a lot of wrong things, ignore what people say and concentrate on those good and wonderful things and times that you shared. i am a stranger to you but my God says to comfort those that are in sorrow and i have been sorrowful so my heart hurts for you. God will give you what you need and may he have mercy on those haters..

My prayers go out to the family of this firefighter of so many years of devoted service! I would like to say a few things about volunteer fire departments, especially the China Spring department. They are UNPAID people that devote their own time in the effort to save lives and property! I live on a rural road on the edge of China Spring. I returned home one night at about 8:00pm to find the woods right next to my house(about a few hundred feet away) on fire! I called the fire department and they responded within 15 minutes! It took 3 hrs to put the fire out! Once the fire was out, they stayed for another 2 hrs to make sure there were no hot spots left. The next morning they returned to make sure the fire was completely out. I find it impossible to criticize anyone that is this devoted to their UNPAID responsibilities! I would suggest that no one should criticize these departments! It might be you that needs them next! Think about it, if not for them, there might not be anybody!!!!!

I feel so badly for the family and friends of this firefighter. Whatever possessed this young man to shoot his dad and then set off an explosion that would destroy the home and almost him!

To all of you that are using this for a debate platform, it shows your who you are. There are many online fire sites that were set up for and ment for this type child like behavior. This one is not the time or place. Ramonell's family reads this and what is taking place is truly unprofessional. So please grow up and take it some where else. To the James family, my prayers are with you and Ramonell will not be forgotten around here I consider it a honor to have known him. May Ramonell rest in peace and may GOD bless his family.

This not not the place to BASH any of our Volunteer Fire Departments. In light of the death of a true Professional, it is sickening to see individuals spout such unfounded comments. Let me inlighten you uninformed idiots that we can only respond to the addresses dispatched by McLennan County or East Texas Medical. On ocassions they do dispatch us to the wrong. This is not uncommon. Know all the facts before you jump to any conclusions.

I wanna correct my earlier post. I do have a David on my department. David and his family are a big part of this department. Waco fire, Robinson fire, and golinda fire were called in as mutual aid. The man that lived in this house was a 28 yr. Vetran of the Waco fire dept. And will be missed by all that knew him. Kenny and bob you are idiots! It's sad that you have nothing better to do than to talk this trash that you do. And if the downville fire dept. Passed this fire up with you standing there. Why didn't you tell them how to get to your neighbors house? Your a blow hard! And should be ashamed of yourself! What kind of person stands by while his neighbors house is burning and does not help the fire dept? What an idiot!

People in glass houses Kenny , should not throw stones etc. etc, All of the familiar sayings ...open mouth and insert foot. If you don't know what you are speaking about , best to keep your mouth closed rather than open it and remove all doubt. If you have never been a firefighter , volunteer or otherwise , than how would you know enough to criticize this department . As far as I am concerned , they do a service above and beyond . And when they are performing that service , their lives are very much on the line. Any one who can put my safety 1st...well that makes them pretty special in my book.Don't ya think?

My brother and my dad have both been VFF for many years. It was not uncommon in my child hood to be in the middle of dinner, or a birthday party and his pager go off for a structure fire or grass fire or ems call and he have to run out the door without time to say goodbye. Those of you critizing, you obviously don't have a clue what volunteers are worth. These days its all about $$$$$$. Getting someone to do something for free, especially risking their life to save others, is a rare quality. Be grateful. Thank your local FF, because you never know when YOUR house will be the one that needs saving or worse, you being inside it. I bet you wouldn't be critizing their skills then now would you? For this man's family and fellow FF god bless may he rest in peace.
