just something to think about here. hasan could not be allowed to die of his wounds. if he is found guilty he can never be executed. WHY?? because his death would make him a martyr. as a martyr he would then be worshipped by all muslims world wide.

By legal definition he is not a terrorist which is why he has been charged with criminal offenses. The govt would not have been able to make a terrorist charge stick.

I totally agree with the "firing squad" idea and let the survivors be the ones to do it? Oh well, it sounds good anyway. What about the 29 (or so) injured? Shouldn't there be at least a few attempted murder charges? or attempted capital murder, since another offense was involved. What about the baby -- the 14th victim?

I just want to say that I believe that there should be 14 counts of premeditated murder because wasn't one of the fallen pregnant? Does this little life count?

I find it strange why the news media have not called Hasan what he really is a TERRORIST plain and simple!!!

The problem is, WHEN he is sentenced to death, (hopefully by firing squad), he will more than likely die in prison since it has been close to 50 years since the military executed one of it's death row inmates.

I'm sure more charges will be forthcomming. Charges such as attempted murder, aggrivated assult with a deadly weapon along with whatever else they can come up with. At least he's been charged now with something.
