(April 12, 2007)—Killeen fire investigators say a child playing with matches started a fire that caused major damage to an apartment Wednesday night.

The fire broke out just before 9 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 1100 block of Garth in Killeen.

Smoke was showing when the first fire units arrived.

A second apartment received minor damage from the fire.
