WASHINGTON (November 12, 2009)--An overturned 18-wheeler had a Central Texas highway shut down for most of the night.
A portion of SH 320 was still closed between Lott and Westphalia in rural Falls County early Friday as crews continue working to clear the road.
The truck was stood upright early Friday morning but emergency crews were waiting on another trailer to load the spilled contents from the roadway.
The accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. Thursday, about 3.5 miles west of Lott.
Rosebud Vol. Fire Dept. spokesman Richard Gregor said the big rolled, split its trailer and spilled its contents all over the roadway.
Firefighters from Rosebud, Westphalia and Robinson all responded to the call.
Gregor expected SH 320 to be re-opened by 6:00 a.m. Friday.

Actually Robinson wasn't one of the fire departments at the scene of the wreck. Lott was the fire department there since it was in their jurisdiction.
That rig and trailer must have been the same one that I saw being hauled by two separate trucks this morning just North of Rosenthal on Hwy 77. That trailer was all kinds of messed up. Hope the HEB driver is okay.
