WACO (November 13, 2009)-One person is in custody following a low-speed chase that began on northbound Interstate 35 near Lorena and ended along westbound SH 6 at the Waco Drive exit.
The chase began around 6:00 a.m. when a Department of Public Safety trooper attempted to pull the vehicle over for a traffic violation.
Waco DPS dispatcher Scarborough told News 10 the driver refused to stop, instead continuing northbound on the Interstate at approximately 50 mph.
The vehicle exited onto westbound SH 6 and gradually slowed to approximately 30 mph as it approached the Waco Drive exit, Scarborough said.
Waco police assisted DPS with road spikes, disabling all of the vehicle's tires.
The lone occupant, a female driver, was taken into custody twenty minutes after the chase began when the vehicle exited SH 6 at Waco Drive and rolled to a stop on the frontage road.

well put "come on". I dont even have 300 for new tires and couldnt imagine having to wait for my money. I respect the law and am glad they stopped the lady but I always thought they waited for the car to approach before sliding the spikes. i think this could have been handled a bit differently from both sides.
first of all i am a single mother whos seed this persons point of view--what if this were to happen to me? what if my kids were in the car when the tires blew which caused a wreak--i mean people come on and put yourself in the other persons shoes------im quite sure any of you would be upset too--and if u listen to her she said she exited ASAP-- the person just wanted to vent---get over yorselves and think about what you would do especially if you didnt have $300 to spend on tires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess whomever screens this is a democrat. Who ever you are, learn to think for yourself.
