Good morning, it’s Sunday, Nov. 15, the 319th day of 2009. There are 46 days left in the year. We’ll start the day in mid 60s with a slight chance of showers this morning and a better chance this afternoon with high in the upper 70s. But a cool-down is coming. Lows tonight will be in the lower 50s and tomorrow’s highs may not get out of the 50s.

Fifty years ago today, on Nov. 15, 1959, farmer Herbert Clutter, his wife, Bonnie, and the couple's two youngest children, Nancy, 16, and Kenyon, 15, were found murdered in their home in Holcomb, Kan. Two ex-convicts, Richard Hickock and Perry Smith, were later convicted of the killings and hanged; the case was detailed in Truman Capote’s bestselling book "In Cold Blood,” which is considered the originator of the non-fiction novel.
