Texas Deputies Seize 15 Pit Bulls
Texas deputies made two arrests and seized 15 pit bulls after responding to a neighbor’s complaint of a foul odor.

SAN ANTONIO (November 17, 2009)—Bexar County deputies seized 15 pit bulls, made two arrests and found two dead dogs that looked as if they had been beaten or had been fighting.
Bexar County Sheriff's spokesman Sgt. James Hancock said the deputies seized the dead dogs Sunday night from a vacant lot near a home after a neighbor complained of a foul odor.
Joe Lee Rice Jr., 20, and Lenee Mayberry, 17, were arrested and charged with marijuana possession.
Rice indicated he was housesitting, while Mayberry said he was visiting.
Hancock said it wasn't immediately clear whether they would also face animal cruelty charges.
A Bexar County jail spokeswoman said Mayberry was released Monday on a $3,000 bond.
No information was available on Rice.
Deputies are seeking a third man suspected of abusing the animals.

omg these dogs are great dogs. pitbulls are not mean and malicious. they are actually caring and loving. and people are not smart for believing the media. of course the media and people who hate the breed alter the statistics to make it sound bad. there has been dog bites by pitbulls but at the same time there has been millions of more pits who have not attacked anyone at all. and pits do not randomly turn on you after years of love and care. and how can a dog misread your command if you do the same command from birth? many pitbulls that are aggressive is because of abuse from owners. if a pitbull is cared for and loved it is the best pet in the world. they are smart, caring, protective and have good judge of character. they are just like any other dog. and i have noticed that the people who criticize pitbulls the most are those who have never had one a day in there lives. Stop speaking unless you've went through the experience!
@Lauren The way how they're trained? That sounds like you can still fly an airplane to the grocery store at speed limit. For God's sake just look at the statistics of mauling by pit bulls. Jesus Christ.
I never said that white males don't have the dog......but MANY black males do. If you don't belive that then come to my neighborhood. Again, all that needs to be said is "HOW will you feel one day, that random day when you least expect it, after your dog that you love so much has eaten your child???????" Lauren....why do you need to train your dog to attach on your command??? What if one day he mis-reads your command???? What if someone else accidently gives him the command that you taught him????? It will be you or your child or your friend or family member one day. It's just a matter of time.
