I totally agree with Officer.. I am an EMT and I have seen first hand that people don't slow down for emergency vehicles. Not only do people not slow down or get in the other lane, most of the time they are talking on the phone or texting while driving. Another problem is that so many drivers want to "rubber neck" they want to watch what is going on at the scene of the accident rather than pay attention to driving!

To Junior, You are an idiot. The lights are to warn you to slow down, your idiotic comments make me hope that that when you need an officer, as you are lying under your car because you drove like a jerk, that the officer knows you are the one that is so hateful of law enforcement officers, and he drives on by. Only a common thug would express something like this. Had it been a member of your family that was in the accident you would be calling every 5 seconds for help. May you rot in HELL

The officer is doing well for those that care. I know some of ya'll don't with your idiotic comments. Officer or not, anyone that gets hurt in any kind of accident shouldn't be ridiculed. One day it could be you.

ok cops turn on blinding lights when they stop you for a purpose, to confuse and disorientate you, so much the same thing happens at an accident, lights flashing from different direction, stupid cop should not have put himself out there where he could get hit, but that is the kind of power hungry person that is attracted to being a cop, one that wants to get out and direct traffic at an accident so he can show what power he has, riducules, god bless the driver, forget the cop, go to the donut shop and get another he can be replaced

Jamaal, I bet they could pass a physical fitness test quicker than you could pass a spelling test. Prayers to the officer and his family. Get well! We need you out there!

To Caring Officer, Hate to bust your bubble brother, but read TRC 545.157 (Passing Authorized Emergency Vehicle) again. Drivers if on a one lane in each direction must slow to 20MPH under the posted limit unless the speed limit is 25MPH or less then they must slow to 5MPH. If on a road with two lanes in the same direction they must vacate the lane if possible or if they can't vacate they must slow as shown above. We don't want the public to be given false info. As a traffic officer I know how drivers buzz by us at accident scenes, hope the officer recovers quickly! And may the driver be cited!! And for all of you with Physical Condition comments get informed or keep your comments to yourselves.
