Prosecutors: 15-Year-Old Girl Killed 9-Year-Old To See What It Felt Like

COLE COUNTY, Mo. (November 19, 2009)—A 15-year-old Missouri girl accused of killing a 9-year-old to see what it felt like has been charged as an adult.
Alyssa Bustamante is named in a two-count indictment charging murder and armed criminal action in the strangulation and stabbing death of 9-year-old Elizabeth Olten.
A judge entered a not guilty plea on the teenager’s behalf and said he would appoint an attorney.
Olten disappeared in October.
Her body was found buried in the woods a few days later.
Investigators say Bustamante led them to the girl’s grave.
Court documents show that Olten was strangled, stabbed and her throat was cut.
Investigators say the crime was premeditated because the grave was dug several days before the murder.
Bustamante is held in the Cole County jail without bond.
During the adult certification hearing, witnesses testified Bustamante has a history of mental illness.
Despite the adult charges, she could still become eligible for treatment through Missouri's Division of Youth Services.

It's got to be something wrong with this child. I just hate that she fellt like she needed to take a life to see what it felt like. Thhis child needs to be made to see the family hurt and pain of the child she has killed to know that the child she has killed parents and relatives and friends will never be able to she their childs face again the smile the getting older. Its real sad and my prays go out to hte family to both family cause the child that did the killing has no life anymore to call her own her family is just as bad off as the childs family she killed. Pray!Pray!Pray always!
