BRYAN (November 19, 2009)—A jury in Brazos County has acquitted daycare owner Dana Renee Munyon of injury to a child charges in an incident that left a 1-year-old who was in her care with severe head injuries.

Jurors deliberated for more than 16 hours before returning the not guilty verdict at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Munyon surrendered in June 2008 to Brazos County authorities after an arrest warrant was issued.

The charge stems from an incident in April 2008 in which 1-year-old Alexis Verzal suffered retinal hemorrhaging and brain swelling consistent with Shaken Baby Syndrome while at a daycare.

The infant girl was receiving care at a rehabilitation facility in Nebraska, which is where her family is originally from.

Her parents had worked for the Texas A&M University Athletic Department, but decided to make a permanent move back to Nebraska so Alexia could receive treatment.

What the news article didnt state: The last few months the child's head grew at an alarming rate( 20% to over 90% rate). The child's behavior changed within the last week(pressure on the brain). Cat scans showed 'old bleed'. It was proven it was a medical emergency not an abuse issue. This is why the not guilty verdict.

Shaken Baby Syndrome is a complete fraud and scientists have known it for decades. Shaking can injure or kill, but not cause the symptoms used to diagnose it. A shaken baby has neck and spine injuries, just like whiplash injuries in a vehicle without head impact. Brain swelling can be caused by vaccinations, apnea, and other medical causes, and anytime you get brain swelling, bleeding in the head and eyes can occur. One pathologist who studied over 50 cases said the symptoms associated with SBS, which has always been an unproven hypothesis, looked to be caused instead by hypoxia--lack of oxygen. Brain swelling, apnea, hemorrhaging, all associated with vaccinations, infections, Vitamin C deficiency. Head impact causes brain swelling too, but there would be external signs of impact in most cases. People just fell in love with the SBS idea, and can't let it go, besides which when the truth comes out the liability from broken lives and families will be unthinkable.
