SAN ANTONIO (November 22, 2009)—Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Fort Hood psychiatrist charged in one of the worst mass shootings in history on a U.S. military base has been placed in pretrial confinement, but will remain in a military hospital.
A military magistrate made that decision Saturday during a hearing in Hasan's hospital room at a San Antonio military hospital where Hasan has been recovering since the Nov. 5 shooting at Fort Hood that killed 13 and wounded more than two-dozen.
Two civilian police officers shot Hasan to end the shooting rampage in the post’s Soldier Readiness Center.
Hasan's civilian attorney John Galligan said he is concerned about where Hasan will be moved once he's released from the hospital, but he doesn't know when that will happen.
He said Hasan is paralyzed from the chest down and still in intensive care.
The paralysis is apparently permanent.
Fort Hood officials declined to comment to The Associated Press about the hearing.

I hope Hasan gets a fair trial, and a fine hangin'.
Linda you are the type of bleeding heart this killer hopes to get on a jury. There is not much to judge He KILLED those people in cold blood with plenty of witnesses. It doesn't take a genius to figure out he is guilty, but I am sure you believe he is the one that was done wrong or mistreated. BOO-hoo
Earl, "You're an idiot." Everyone has an opinion... do not put some one down for voicing theirs. Who are you to judge? thats right! You Can't!
