(April 20, 2007)—Marlin police were investigating Friday after finding the body of a newborn in a room at the Relax Inn just off Highway 6.
Evidently the baby’s mother gave birth to the infant around 8 p.m. Thursday and then called 911 to report that she was having stomach pains.
She apparently didn’t tell paramedics she had just given birth.
She was taken first to a hospital in Marlin and then flown by helicopter to a Waco hospital where doctors determined she had given birth.
Police returned to the motel and found the newborn’s body in the bathroom.
Information about her condition was not available Friday morning.
