(April 21, 2007)—Mountain bike riders from around the state and country are in Central Texas this weekend for the annual Bicycles Outback Blowout race.

Parts of Cameron Park will be closed on Saturday and Sunday because of the race.

From 6 a.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday Cameron Park Drive will be closed to traffic from Robin Road to Lover’s Leap.

Pecan Bottoms and other areas of the park aren’t affected.

Event headquarters and concessions will be at Lover’s Leap, which is accessible from North 19th Street.

Bicycles Outback, a Waco bike shop, and Waco’s Parks and Recreation Department organize the race, which is part of the Texas Mountain Bike Racing Association series.
