(May 1, 2007)--Dallas police overnight found a missing tanker carrying the toxic chemical sodium hydroxide.
The tanker was taken last week from a Flying J truck stop on Interstate 20.
The truck's stripped cab was later recovered at a nearby hotel but the tanker remained missing until Monday night.
The truck's driver told police the cab disappeared after he allowed two men access to the sleeper cab while he was showering at the truck stop.
Chuck Deinum, head of the trucking company CDI Transport of Houston, says sodium hydroxide can severely burn the eyes and skin.
Police say the truck still contained the chemical.
There have been no arrests in the case.
