(May 9, 2007)—A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect until 11 p.m. Wednesday for Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, McLennan and Mills Counties as a large area of showers and thunderstorms moved into the region from the west.
Tornado and severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for a portion of rural San Saba County.
A flash flood watch is in effect through Thursday morning for Bosque, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Mills and San Saba Countie.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely Wednesday night and early Thursday morning throughout Central Texas as a large area of rain moves in from the southwest.
Locally heavy rainfall is possible and in areas where the ground is already saturated, flash flooding is a threat.
There’s a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight and a 40 percent chance on Thursday.
