Text Message Indicates SMU Coed Was With Drug Dealer Before Disappearance

(May 16, 2007)—Southern Methodist University coed Meaghan Bosch, 21, whose body was found in a portable toilet at a construction site in Hewitt, sent a text message to her ex-boyfriend before she disappeared last Thursday.

In it she said she was at the home of a drug dealer.

A construction worker found her body Monday.

Investigators say it appears the coed’s body was deliberately placed inside the portable toilet.

They say there was no evidence of a struggle.

Bosch’s parents told investigators they learned two months ago their daughter was using cocaine.

They also said she was suffering from depression.

They last heard from her on May 9.

Bosch, a McKinney High School graduate, was majoring in English at SMU.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office is performing an autopsy to determine how she died.
