A 32-year-old Hurst man, whose name was not immediately released, died when the 2007 BMW in which he was riding early Saturday morning hit a utility pole and then slid into a tree.

The driver, Cody Worrell, 32, was treated at a hospital and then taken to the Euless Jail.

He was freed later Saturday after posting a $25,000 bond, police said.
