SEATTLE (December 1, 2009)--The fugitive suspected of gunning down four police officers in a Tacoma, Wash. coffee shop on Sunday is dead.

Police shot and killed Maurice Clemmons, 37, early Tuesday in a Seattle neighborhood, ending a two-day manhunt.

Authorities had been searching for Clemmons since Sunday in connection with shooting deaths of four police officers gathered at an area coffee shop prior to the start of their shift.

During the manhunt, police fanned out over two counties, storming homes and canvassing city streets with dogs.

Authorities say, following the Sunday morning shootings, Maurice Clemmons received help from a network of friends and relatives who gave him places to stay, medical aid, rides and money.

Officers late Monday detained Clemmons’ sister.

They think she treated the gunshot wound Clemmons received in a struggle with one of the officers on Sunday.

Authorities have also recovered a handgun carried by the killer, along with a pickup truck belonging to the suspect with bloodstains inside.

Kevin, buddy sometimes it's better to keep you mouth shut and let everyone think your an idiot, then to open it and remove all doubt. Had he murdered one of your family members, would you be cocerned about his civil rights, I'm sure you wouldnt.
