(June 4, 2007)—One person was in the Bell County Jail Thursday after Temple firefighters discovered a resident cooking a small quantity of methamphetamine in a room at the Olin Teague Veterans Center in Temple.
Firefighters were called after a strange odor was detected early Monday morning on the 2nd floor of the VA domiciliary.
The floor was evacuated while firefighters and hazardous materials personnel fanned out to find the source of the odor, which turned out to be from a room where a resident was cooking what officials said was a small quantity of meth for personal use.
