(June 7, 2007)—A 42-year-old Austin man was in the McLennan County Jail Thursday after Woodway police discovered a lab in a room at the Extended StayAmerica motel at 5903 Woodway Dr.

The lab was discovered after an officer responded to a report of a dumpster fire outside the motel.

The officer suspected something more was involved that a simple trash fire and the ensuing investigation led to the discovery of the lab and the arrest.

A Department of Public safety narcotics unit dismantled the lab.
