Longtime Central Texas Contractor Dies Sunday
Longtime Central Texas construction company owner Odell Geer died Sunday in a Temple hospital after a short illness.

TEMPLE (December 13, 2009)—Longtime Central Texas contractor Odell Geer, died Sunday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple after a short illness.
He was 87.
He owned Odell Geer Construction Company, which he formed in 1952 and operated until 2003.
He was a member of the Association of General Contractors and a lifetime member of the American Cutting Horse Association Hall of Fame.
He played a key role in development around Highway 190 and worked on construction of schools and businesses in the area.
Geer fell last week at his home and was taken to Scott & White where he developed pneumonia.

I worked for Mr. Geer in the eighties and he was always a fair man. I am latino and think Mr. Geer treated everyone equally and with respect regardless of race/color/creed.

Okay first off it's not SIT AND WAIT. And second I happen to know that if it was not for S&W there would be a lot of people in this town with no way to see a doctor. King's Daughters doctors do not give to this town like Scott and White's do. And Mr Geer i am sure was a regular supporter of Scott and White.

I WORKED FOR ODELL GEER CONST. CO. FOR 15 YEARS AS A DUMP TRUCK [PUP] DRIVER. MR GEER WAS A KIND CHRISTIAN MAN HE WILL BE MISSED. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HIS FAMILY AND MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYER ARE WITH THEM.
