KILLEEN (December 15, 2009)—Killeen police said late Tuesday afternoon they could not substantiate a report that a woman was forced into a car earlier in the afternoon in the parking lot of the Killeen Mall.
Police said a witness to the kidnapping ran into the J.C. Penny store just before 3 p.m. Tuesday and said she saw a man force a woman who was screaming for help into a car.
The man then drove off with the woman, the witness said.
The witness described the car as a dark-colored Buick or Cadillac.
Police now think what the witness saw was probably a domestic argument.

Wow, JB... that's one heck of a conspiracy theory you got going on... so you wear foil hats to keep the aliens from reading your thoughts, because they may be in cahoots with KPD officers as well... ;)

Here is the situation, don't believe everything you read. If you know anyone that is or has been a cop, or have been one yourself, you know that a lot of unsubstanciated calls come in to dispatch. If the police get there and there is no proof the event happend and nothing to go on but hearsay, then there is simply no information to move forward with an investigation. There is always the need to investigate and apparently the cops did and found no evidence of foul play. This is a case of questionable information from the "eye witness" if you ask anyone with logic and common sense. Plus, the holidays always bring out more drama than other times of the year. I myself have seen a vast improvement of the security at the mall by the cops and their security and feel perfectly safe there doing my shopping. Don't let media hype and over dramatic NON-justified information cloud your good sense....

So the Killeen police are so smart that they can make a judgement call on something they didn't see? Like 'no names please' stated, I sure hope they at least check the tapes to confirm that this incident didn't warrant any more of their precious time. Just glad I wasn't the woman calling for help and not getting any from anybody in a mall parking lot in the middle of the holiday shopping season....very sad.
