FAA Keeps Closer Eye On American Airlines
The FAA is keeping a closer eye on Fort Worth-based American airlines after three landing mishaps.

FORT WORTH (January 3, 2010)--The Federal Aviation Administration is increasing its oversight of American Airlines after three landing mishaps during the last month.
The wingtips of American planes touched the ground during landings during two landings on Dec. 13 in Charlotte, N.C., and Dec. 24 in Austin.
And in Jamaica, an American plane overshot the runway in a rainstorm on Dec. 22.
FAA officials said that they will also conduct a review of the events to see if there might be a larger issue involved.
The statement says that if needed, the FAA will work with American on corrective action.
An American spokesman told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the airline is are cooperating with the FAA and conducting its own investigation, as well.

If these statements are correct(true), then American Airlines needs a little watching over. But the Plane that crash landed in Rio, Sounded like wind sheer, and too much water(rain) on the Runway. I'm gad there was no one seriously injured or killed in these incidents.
