Missing Texas Truck Driver Found

TULSA, Okla. (January 12, 2010)--An Arrow Trucking Co. driver who had been missing since Christmas Day has phoned his family and is safe in Iowa.

Tulsa-based Arrow closed suddenly on Dec. 22 and hundreds of drivers who were ordered to park their trucks were stranded across the nation, including John Eischens, who was last seen at a truck stop in Butte, Mont.

His family in Anna reported him missing last week.

Anna police now say Eischens called his mother and brother on Saturday.

Detective Steve Williams said Eischens hitched a ride with another truck driver who was going to Iowa because he didn't want to be a burden and didn't realize he was considered missing.
