(July 1, 2007)—Waco police were looking for a killer Sunday after a teenager who was hosting a party at his home was shot to death.

Jerardo Hernandez, 17, was shot twice just before 2 a.m. Sunday at the home at 2201 Flint, where about 40 people were attending the party.

He staggered out of the house to the driveway where he fell and died, police said.

The man who shot him was described as Hispanic and between 30 and 40 years of age.

After the shooting, the gunman walked to his truck and drove off, police said.

The truck is a light brown over dark brown two-tone Ford F-250 pickup with a roll bar and a wind deflector that extends from the top of the windshield.

None of the guests interviewed by investigators knew the man’s name, police said.

The shooting occurred two blocks from where another teenager was shot in May.

Joseph Adams, 17, was shot in the ankle on May 22 in the 2000 block of Flint.

Witnesses told officers that five men in an SUV where pursuing a passenger car and that the front seat passenger in the SUV was firing a handgun at the car.

While at the scene officers learned that Adams had turned up at the emergency room.

He told officers he was talking with friends who were in the car when the SUV drove up and someone opened fire.
