TYLER (February 09, 2010)-Two more churches near Tyler caught fire and burned just hours after investigators concluded that a seventh East Texas church this year was caused by arson.
A Smith County Sheriff’s Office dispatcher said the first fire started around 9 p.m. Monday at the Dover Baptist Church, 15 miles northwest of Tyler.
The dispatcher said a second fire was reported at another church about 3 miles away shortly thereafter, but he didn't have the identity of that church.
Multiple fire departments responded to both fires and were working late into the night to douse the flames.
No injuries have been reported in connection with either fire, and causes for Monday night's church fires have not yet been determined.
The fires came the day investigators announced that a seventh east Texas church fire this year had been formally blamed on arson.
The Jan. 19 fire that gutted Temple’s First Baptist Church at North 1st Street and Barton Avenue was also ruled as arson.

My church is one of those that was burned, and though the church is the body of believers, our church sanctuary was burned, and we feel it very much. We are keeping vigil even now, for the arsonist did not stop us, and we will be stronger as we go through the "fire".
Hey 'Just saying'...so your saying its the Churches fault...or Christians fault for these fires??? Thats stupid and backwards...I say whoever STARTED the fires are to blame...not the "system". Bet you voted for Obama.
Steve. Stop it. Everyone knows what is meant by Church... or do you say "I'm going to the building where I worship?" No, I'm sure you say I'm going to (fill in the blank) Church.
