(July 11, 2007)--A trampoline accident has claimed the life of a 4-year-old Houston-area boy.
Harris County sheriff's authorities say his mother went outside to the trampoline to check on Mark Portillo and found him dangling from a strap that was part of the safety netting.
Lt. William Gray says it appears the boy either entered or tried to get off the trampoline when a strap got tangled around his neck Tuesday night.
The boy was transported to a hospital, where he died.
