WACO (February 18, 2010)-Waco police say they are looking for two men who attempted late Wednesday night to rob the B&G Food Mart located on North 25th Street near Morrow Avenue.

Waco Police Sgt. Steve Anderson said Thursday morning that the store owner, at around 10:20 p.m. Wednesday, had just completed his final transaction of the night and had locked the door after his customer left.

When he returned to the counter to close out his register, the owner heard someone trying to open the door.

He looked up and saw two masked men, one of them holding a pistol.

The would-be robbers soon realized the owner was not going to let them in and fled on foot, headed northbound along North 25th Street.

The gunman was between 5-feet, 6- and 8-inches tall and wore a white or gray hooded jacket and a skull mask over his face.

The other man was between 6-feet, 2- and 4-inches tall and wore all black.

An hour early, two men dressed in black, one with a pistol, robbed the Dairy Queen restaurant on New Rd near Bosque Boulevard; there was no evidence to link the two robberies, Anderson said.

Police are asking anyone with information about either robbery to contact the Waco Police Department at (254) 750-7500 or Waco Crime Stoppers at (254) 753-HELP (4357).

The Owner needs to get a gun, load it, then if he sees a weapon, shoot to kill! They will probably be back!
