House Fire Sends One to Local Hospital

KILLEEN (February 24, 2010)--One person was taken to Metroplex Hospital Wednesday morning after firefighters took him from the burning structure.

The man, suffered undetermined injuries after his home at 1517 N. 18th St caught fire just after 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The fire is now under control, but fire units remain on the scene mopping up.

The fire went to two alarms at about 7 a.m. as firefighters battled the smoky blaze.

A department spokesman told News 10 the home is a single-story wood frame structure.

The man, whose name was not released, was in serious, but stable condition Wednesday evening.
