(July 16, 2007)--Republican Gov. Rick Perry hasn't said if he's running again in 2010, but he's not slowing down on his fund-raising.
Perry Monday reported raising more than $881,000 in only 13 days in June after the recent Texas legislative session and bill-signing period ended.
The Associated Press reports some contributions came from long-time Perry donors like Houston homebuilder Bob Perry and San Antonio supermarket mogul Charles Butt.
Perry had $1.4 million in cash on hand at the end of the six-month reporting period, which ran from January through June.
He and other statewide elected officials and legislators had to file their campaign funding reports by Monday with the Texas Ethics Commission.
Republican US Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison reported to federal election officials that she has raised $2 million from April through June.
That boosted Hutchison's available campaign cash to $7.7 million.
The Associated Press reports Hutchison is considering a run for governor in 2010.
If she does run, Hutchison could convert that federal money to a state campaign account.
