HEMET, Calif. (March 11, 2010)—Two teenagers wanted in the murder of a 16-year-old boy whose body was burned were in custody Thursday in Riverside County, Calif. after a four-month search.
Police in Hemet, Calif. said Jose Campos, 18, and his girlfriend, Felicia Sharp, 17, were booked and questioned Wednesday evening.
Police believe Campos shot Adrian Rios and burned the boy’s body in a backyard bonfire, with Sharp’s help.
Rios was last seen going to the Campos home on Nov. 15, 2009 to watch a football game.
Charred human remains were found in Campos' backyard days later.
Campos was charged with first-degree murder in December.
Sharp was wanted as an accessory, but has not been charged.
