Convicted Texas Sex Offender Arrested After Woman Stalked
A registered Texas sex offender was in custody Friday after a woman who responded to an online ad seeking a singer for a Christian band was harassed and threatened.

DENTON (March 12, 2010)—Registered sex offender Jeremy Daniel Wicker, 31, of Denton, was in custody Friday after a woman who responded to his online advertisement seeking a lead singer for a Christian band was stalked, harassed and threatened.
Wicker was arrested Thursday on charges of harassment and making a terroristic threat.
The 21-year-old woman told police that Wicker asked her to call him last week to arrange an audition for the band, and then sent her more than 50 sexually explicit and threatening messages.
Wicker was in the Denton city jail Friday.
He recently reached a plea deal on a third-degree felony charge of online solicitation of a 14-year-old, according to court records.

JC, in case you're not aware, "Registered Sex Offenders" covers a lot of ground, all the way from people who made a mistake to those who will always be a threat to society.
