AUSTIN (March 31, 2010--Travis County Deputy Constable Christopher Bieze, who used a Taser on a 72-year-old woman, was cleared Wednesday by the Travis County Grand Jury, which declined to return an indictment after reviewing the case.
Bieze stopped Kathryn Winkfein for speeding on May 11, 2009 on Texas 71 west of Austin.
She refused to sign the citation, however, and patrol car dash-cam video showed the 4-foot-11 Granite Shoals woman struggling with Bieze and daring him to use his Taser on her.
Eventually he did.
The video was widely viewed on the Internet and earned Winkfein an appearance on NBC's "Today” show.
An internal investigation concluded that Bieze didn't violate any county policies and he wasn't disciplined.

Her age doesn't give her a free pass on speeding. One report stated this was not the first time this "Granny" refused to sign a ticket. AND, SHE taunted the cop.
Darn Right! Did you see the idiocy on the video? He showed great restraint, if you ask me. I don't care how old she was, she deserved what she got.
She got what she asked for.
