Texas Man Accused Of Forcing Young Daughters To Watch Pornography

AMARILLO (April 6, 2010)--Randall County District Attorney James Farren has filed child endangerment charges against a man who’s accused of forcing his young daughters to watch pornography.

Farren said Tuesday that Jack A. Buckner II faces two counts of child endangerment.

He’s accused of placing his 8- and 9-year-old girls in danger of imminent mental impairment by showing them pornography.

Farren wanted to file charges using the state's indecency law, which evidently was written to protect the privacy of parents who want to teach their children about sex.

It says parents can't be prosecuted for showing "harmful material" to their children.

Buckner declined to comment Tuesday, his wife said.
