(August 16, 2007)--A 21-year-old woman pleaded guilty Thursday to abducting a days-old girl from a Lubbock hospital.

Authorities say Rayshaun Parson was wearing medical scrubs when she slipped into the maternity ward in March and then a baby turned up missing.

Mychael Darthard-Dawodu was later found unharmed in Clovis, N M., where Parson lived.

Jury selection for Parson's aggravated kidnapping trial was set to begin Monday.

Parson faces up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine.

No sentencing date was immediately set.

Surveillance video from Covenant Lakeside Hospital showed a woman wearing blue and flower-print hospital scrubs, a puffy jacket and a purse walking out of the hospital.

The infant's mother, Caisha Darthard, was at the court hearing, but declined comment, other than to say the baby is doing "good."
