Search Intensifies For Elderly Central Texas Man

A Civil Air Patrol plane was expected to join the search Monday for a 76-year-old Central Texas man missing since the weekend who desperately needs medication for diabetes and high blood pressure.

Richard Gary Parker, 76, of Aquilla, has been missing since Saturday, April 24, 2010, may be suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer's and desperately needs medication for Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.

AQUILLA (April 26, 2010)—The Civil Air Patrol was joining the search Monday for an elderly man missing since Saturday who desperately needs medication for Type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.

Hill County authorities issued a Silver Alert for Richard Gary Parker, 76, who was last seen leaving his home the 1900 block of Farm-to-Market 933 in Aquilla.

He was driving a 2004 Dodge extended cab short bed pick up truck with a bed cover with a Texas License Plate number 60V-NX2.

Parker is 6-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs around 210 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a short sleeve plaid shirt, dark colored blue jeans with tennis shoes and metal-framed glasses.

His family is concerned he may have wandered from his home and not been able to find his way back.
