WACO (May 18, 2010)--A three-vehicle accident on northbound Interstate 35 Tuesday sent one car careening off the roadway and into a roadside sign.
The driver of the car sustained minor injuries and did not have to be taken to a hospital, according to a News 10 photographer at the scene.
Investigators say a Mazda was northbound on the highway approaching 8th St. when it was clipped from behind by an 18-wheeler.
The resulting collision sent the small car crashing into a pick up truck and eventually off the roadway, across the grassy median and the access road and into a roadside sign.
The driver had to be extricated from the car, but sustained only minor injuries.
The drivers of the other two vehicles were not injured.

I think careering needs to be careening
The exits for 8th street and 4th & 5th streets, combined with the entrance ramp from 18th & 19th streets have been extremely hazardous for years. Whoever decided to put that entrance ramp there years ago was an idiot.
Based on my observation, with the way so many people seem to ignore the danger involved in taking extreme risks at high speeds, it amazes me that the number of accidents isn't a lot greater. And that doesn't just apply to I-35. It's everywhere. What IS their HURRY?
