(September 9, 2007)--Searchers in Oregon have come up empty as they tried to discover what happened to two mountaineers.
Searchers had hoped to find the remains of 37-year-old Brian Hall, of Dallas, and Jerry "Nikko" Cooke, of Brooklyn.
The two vanished in a storm after making it to the summit of Mount Hood in December.
A coordinator says they may never be found.
Hall and Cooke went to Mount Hood with 48-year-old Kelly James, of Dallas.
The three spent the night in a snow cave near the top as bad weather closed in.
The next day, Hall and Cooke apparently went for help.
James died of hypothermia.
His body was airlifted off the mountain later.
