Two Car Accident Sends Local Campus Police Officer To The Hospital
A school district police officer was injured Tuesday morning in a two-car collision in a Waco intersection.

WACO (June 29, 2010)—A Waco Independent School District campus police officer was injured Tuesday morning in a two-car collision that happened while the officer was responding to a non-emergency call, authorities said.
The collision between the officer’s patrol car and a Honda Accord was reported at around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of North 18th Street and Bosque Boulevard.
The officer, whose name wasn’t immediately released, was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center to be checked out.
The people riding in the Honda weren’t injured.
The accident is under investigation,

All of you people really seem to get your drawers all crossed up on News Articles like this. The WISD Police Officer was just doing his job. And I'm glad he wasn't hurt or injured badly. I totally support this Officer, and the rest of you can go fly a kite.

Wilson-I resent the remark you made about police officers being "Glorified mall cops." You don't have a clue what it is like to be a cop!! You don't have a clue what it is like being out on the street every day putting your life on the line. Several of my family members are in law enforcement. I as well am going to school to become a police officer . I have been out on the streets with some officers for training. I know first hand what it is like out there on the streets. A police officers job is a very scary and serious job!! So, Wilson when someone breaks into your house or you have a run-in with someone I hope you think twice about your remark when we put our life on the line to come to your aid. It is ashame that we sacrifice and put our lives on the line to protect you and this is the type of thanks we get!!
