Simpson Not Talking, But Girlfriend Is
O. J. Simpson isn’t talking, but his girlfriend says she’s standing behind him.

(September 21, 2007)—There’s no word on O. J. Simpson’s whereabouts, but his girlfriend did speak briefly to reporters Thursday.
Barely able to navigate the media outside Simpson's home, his longtime girlfriend Christine Prody says she still stands behind the former Hall-of Fame football player.
The media has been staking out the Kendall, Florida home of Simpson since he flew back to Florida following his court appearance in Las Vegas.
Prody was with Simpson during the court hearing and she says Simpson is holding up fine, but would not disclose his whereabouts.
Authorities have laid out a case that makes Simpson the leader in an armed holdup of sports memorabilia collectors.
Simpson has insisted he was merely retrieving items that were stolen from him earlier.
The dealers say Simpson and his companions stole a bunch of autographed footballs and other items.
Simpson is free on $125,000 bond.
